FAT PERCENTAGE LOSS
“Years prior joining Curves, I made myself believe that I was not as fat as other people told me to be. I’d think that others had it worse.
However, towards the end of 2015, I couldn’t bear to look at myself in pictures any longer. No matter how I positioned myself, the fact that I was at my biggest and heaviest (150 lbs) couldn’t be hidden anymore.
So, with a colleague, I joined Curves last January 2016 as part of my New Year’s resolution to finally lose weight. During the first assessment, the coaches set a goal for me that I thought was impossible and didn’t take it seriously.
Fortunately, the Curves coaches are more stubborn than me and are very passionate in helping their members in achieving their dreams of losing weight.
Listening to their advice, I came up with my own diet plan and went to the gym religiously almost everyday. After just several months, I found myself struggling in holding my old jeans up my waist and rolling up my shirts’ sleeves. People around me also took notice of my weight loss and had motivated me more to push myself harder.
By December 2016, I lost almost 30 lbs and had to discard 50% of the clothes in my closet (even my favorite ones) because they were already too big to me.
Through Curves, I didn’t only learned how to watch what I eat and how to lose weight. I also developed a sense of discipline that I never thought I could.
